About Algebra 1Algebra 1 is the foundation for mathematics in high school courses and beyond. It is the introduction to the concept of using variables in expressions and equations in order to represent something unknown or something that changes. In Algebra 1, students are also expected to be able to translate and make connections between different representations such as graphs, tables, verbal and algebraic forms to help develop problem-solving skills.
