About AVIDAVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is an elective course that prepares students for post-secondary education by utilizing tools and improving skills in areas such as writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization and reading. It is a voluntary program with a vast amount of opportunities to grow as a student and a citizen.
One of the major components of AVID is weekly tutorials. AVID students will have two tutorials a week with their collaborative learning groups along with a tutor hired by the district. This means that students are responsible to prepare and to turn in two Tutorial Request Forms each week (Monday and Wednesday OR Tuesday and Thursday). |
